Social media can be fun and helpful, but it also has risks especially for children. As parents, it’s our job to protect our kids while helping them use it wisely.

First, talk to your child openly. Explain the good and bad sides of social media. Set rules like screen time limits and which apps they can use. Always know who they’re talking to online.

Use parental controls to block harmful content and check privacy settings on their devices. Teach them not to share personal details, photos, or passwords with anyone.

Most importantly, be a good role model. Use your phone wisely and spend quality time together without screens. Real life connection is the best protection.
